WHAT IS COPPERFLEX® FOAM?

CopperFlex® is a hyper-elastic foam featuring immediate response technology that adjusts to your body each time you move. It is designed to contour the human body, much like visco-elastic memory foam but features the higher responsiveness and pressure point relief of latex. As a latex alternative foam, CopperFlex™ is less costly to produce—reducing the overall cost of the mattress.

CopperFlex® foam can be paired with additional foam layers to create a more customized sleep experience, or coupled with coils to achieve the deep compression support that is the hallmark of hybrid mattresses. Latex alternative foams are optimal for surface infusions or treatments that enhance the comfort of the mattress.

CopperFlex® foam is available in multiple firmness levels, ranging from soft to firm.

CopperFlex® is CertiPUR-US certified, which means it is made without ozone depleters, harmful flame retardants, heavy metals or formaldehyde. This eco-friendly mattress prevents the release of volatile organic compounds into the atmosphere, allowing you to rest stress-free.

ADVANCED COOLING

The CopperFlex® foam used in Brooklyn Bedding’s elite mattresses features the addition of CopperGel™ to the foam’s cell structure, enhancing the bed’s thermal regulating properties. CopperGel™ helps dissipate excess body heat, providing a cooler and more comfortable night’s sleep.

SUPERIOR MOISTURE WICKING

CopperFlex® has much higher water absorption and greater moisture wicking ability due to the open cell structure and overall design of the foam. This engineering allows moisture to be released from the mattress more quickly, also contributing to a cooler, more comfortable sleep.

HOW DOES THE COPPERGEL™ IN COPPERFLEX® FOAM WORK TO INCREASE COMFORT AND SUPPORT?

The conductivity of copper enhances the foam’s thermal properties—helping to dissipate excess body heat to provide a cooler and more comfortable sleep. In addition, at deep compression areas, CopperGel™ particles combine to provide an increased pressure response, preventing the foam from bottoming out under heavy loads. This augmented support is important to maintaining the overall integrity and life of the mattress.

HOW DOES THE COPPERGEL™ IN COPPERFLEX® FOAM HELP FOSTER A HEALTHIER SLEEP ENVIRONMENT?

Copper is a completely natural and environmentally friendly mineral that serves as a required nutrient in many ecosystems, and plays a vital role in many cellular functions in the human body. Copper naturally provides protection against viruses and microbial growth to prevent odors and stains in the product.

Numerous studies have outlined both the exceptional antimicrobial effects of copper and the benefit of human exposure. For example, it is shown to be 1,000 times more lethal to the flu virus than stainless steel, with a contact kill rate of 99.999999% per hour.

Generally, no live organisms have been recovered after prolonged incubation of microorganisms on copper surfaces. This strong antimicrobial effect has also been shown to occur when bacteria and viruses are in close proximity to, but not directly in contact with, copper particles. When foam that is infused with CopperGel™ is compressed, the otherwise evenly dispersed copper particles become concentrated at the surface of the foam, forming an antimicrobial film close to the human skin which helps increase health benefits for sleepers. These attributes make for a cleaner mattress and a more hygienic sleep.
