Frequently Asked Questions

What cooling features are available in the Aurora Luxe?

The Aurora Luxe is designed with the most advanced fabric on the market, delivering GlacioTex™ benefits on contact. While the average skin temperature is 91 degrees, the ideal skin temperature for sleep is 88 degrees. Cooling gel beads liquefy at higher temperatures to deliver relief; those same beads solidify at lower temperatures to ensure the perfect sleep environment.

Additionally, the mattress features copper—a highly conductive material that naturally draws heat out and away from the body—along with cooling gel treatments in the comfort foam layer and the tertiary memory foam layer. The result is the most elite cooling mattress on the market.

What is the height of the Aurora Luxe?

The height of the Aurora Luxe is 13.25.” If you choose the pillow top upgrade, the height is 14.5". An illustration of the mattress with details for each layer is found on the product page, along with a full product description.

How much weight will the mattress support?

All Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to support up to 950 pounds. If you or your sleep partner weigh more than 300 pounds—and prefer more substantial support—you can check out the Titan Plus Mattress by Brooklyn Bedding here.

Are your mattresses flippable?

Most Brooklyn Bedding mattresses should be rotated every 6 to 8 months but never flipped (or inverted). Our mattresses are designed with comfort layers on top and support layers on bottom, including individually encased coils in hybrid models. We also use higher quality materials that last much longer than traditional mattresses. The exceptions to the “no flip” rule are the Plank Firm and Plank Firm Luxe mattresses by Brooklyn Bedding. These mattresses are designed with varying firmness levels on either side of the mattress and can be flipped to customize your sleep experience.

What determines the firmess level in a mattress?

Several factors can contribute to a mattress’s firmness level—including foam density, transition foams and coil systems. The product specifications for each mattress, as well as unique features and benefits, can be found on the product page. Mattresses that come in soft, medium and firm level options display a firmness scale on the same product page to help you determine the right level for you. Need help determining the right firmness level based on your body composition and sleep position? You can check out our Ultimate Mattress Buying Guide here.

Where is this product made?

This product is made in America using foreign and domestic components.

How does the 365-night trial period work?

If during your 365-night sleep trial (which begins once you receive your new mattress), you decide that you are not completely happy with your mattress and wish to return it, we will help dispose of your mattress and help you begin your return.

Please allow 30 days to laps from the date of delivery before beginning the return process.

Customers are able to make use of this 365-night comfort trial on one occasion. The second occasion is not eligible for a return.

We do our very best to donate, recycle, or otherwise repurpose all returned mattresses.

Please contact us at support@brooklynbedding.com with “Return Request” in the subject line, and we will respond quickly to process your request.

Please Note: No returns or exchanges will be offered on clearance items.

How much weight does the Cloud Pillowtop add to the mattress?

The weight added from the Cloud Pillow Top varies based on the mattress size. Please see below for the added weight for each mattress:

What type of foundation works best for this mattress?

Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to be used on foundations with solid support with minimal to no flex. This includes slatted wood or metal foundations with slats no more than 5" apart, wood or metal box foundations, and solid wood or metal platforms. If you need a foundation for your new mattress, check out our foundations specifically designed for Brooklyn Bedding mattresses here.

How do I select the right firmness for my mattress?

Selecting a firmness level depends on your sleep needs, common sleep position and personal preference. For an easy guide to selecting a firmness level, see our firmness scale. If you’d like a personal recommendation or further help selecting a firmness level, you can speak with a Sleep Specialist via email or chat. You can contact a Sleep Specialist here.

Do your mattresses have any safety certifications?

Every Brooklyn Bedding mattress is assembled in our Arizona facility, allowing us to ensure the highest quality every single time. Our mattresses are GREENGUARD Gold Certified and made with CertiPUR-US certified foams, which guarantees they are made without any harmful chemicals including ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, mercury, lead, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and have extremely low impact on indoor air quality.

Reviews

the cooling feeling is amazing

"Love this king size, soft firm with pillowtop mattress with a cooling effect. We purchased this mattress for our guests and granddaughters room. Had great feedback."

— Tammy B. (5/5)

Amazing mattress

"Almost to soft with the medium. Was worried firm would've been too stiff. All extremely comfortable and the best nights sleep I've ever had in an RV. Worth every penny"

— Steve K. (5/5)

Wonderful

"I bought the Aurora Luxe cooling mattress for our new RV. After watching YouTube RV'ers taking about how wonder their new Brooklyn mattress was, I knew that would be my first purchase for our new RV. The first time we used our RV the mattress was in place and that first night was wonderful. I slept sound, no tossing or turning and woke up feeling ready to take on the day, which is a plus with my old bad back. Thank you to all the RV couples & Brooklyn bedding for the best part of my new RV."

— Joellen H. (5/5)

Aurora Luxe Cooling

"Installation was incredibly simple, and fit rit into the bed area perfectly. Priced correctly and was one of the most important decisions in rv item purchasing we made. I suffer from chronic pain and need a mattress such as this to support me properly for adequate sleep. I am grateful that you carried these and thank you for the great customer service that went with and American made product. God Bless."

— NADINE S. (5/5)

This mattress is perfect! It's

"This mattress is perfect! It's more comfortable than my mattress at home. Everything about the purchase was an enjoyable experience."

— Tammy N. (5/5)

Unhappy with purchase

"The bed is very comfortable The problem is the cover is rippling, wavy and when bed is made it looks like blanket is gathered under the comforter. In addition when laying on the mattress you can feel where it gathered. We paid $1600 for a lemon mattress"

— Carrie M. (2/5)

Lovely mattress

"After spending 40 miserable days on another competitor mattress we ordered this particular mattress. l. . medium soft. Great discount too. Customer service was great! The Aurora arrived in a timely fashion like the same day the miserable one went out the door."

— Gary M. (5/5)

"Mostly like. Maybe I should of ordered the soft instead of the medium but overall great mattress."

— Robert (5/5)

Better Than Our Sleep Number

"Best mattress ever! We have had many mattresses in the past and this is the most comfortable by far. Currently we have a Sleep Number in our home and I wish I would have had this mattress before we purchased the Sleep Number. I would have purchased another Brooklyn Bedding mattress for our house. We are sleeping better than ever!"

— Cheryl W. (5/5)
