WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Brooklyn Bedding has partnered with ID.me, an advanced digital identity company that provides an online credential to active educators to access exclusive offers and benefits.

ID.me defines “educators” as faculty or staff employed by a public or private primary or secondary school, local education authority, or a public or private university or college. Please note: ID.me is unable to verify home school or pre-K faculty or staff at this time.

HOW IS MY DISCOUNT APPLIED?

Shop BrooklynBedding.com or any of our Brooklyn Bedding stores, select your products, then verify your eligibility during the shopping process using the appropriate Educator discount button on the checkout page. Once your eligibility is confirmed, the discount will automatically apply to your entire shopping cart.

HOW DO I VERIFY MY STATUS TO RECEIVE MY DISCOUNT?

Load all of your product selections to your shopping cart, then simply click the appropriate Educator button on the checkout page. If not instantly verified, ID.me will compare the information provided in the uploaded document(s) against the information entered in the verification form. To ensure a speedy and successful verification, please pay attention to how you enter your information on the form so that it will match what is seen on the document(s). For example, enter your first and last name on the form as it appears on your school document(s).

WHAT KIND OF DOCUMENT(S) DO I UPLOAD IF ASKED?

You’ll need to upload school-issued documentation that shows your:

• First name
• Last name
• School name
• Date showing employment within the current school year

We understand that your document may only include the name of your school district rather than the school name where you work. You can upload multiple documents through our interface, so if you’re able to upload a document with the school name in addition to the document with the district name, that will help the verification process go smoothly. Please be sure to redact any details not needed for identification purposes.

I JUST UPLOADED A DOCUMENT. WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THE RESULTS OF MY REQUEST?

Documents are reviewed in the order received. You will be contacted via email within the next 20 minutes with additional details regarding your verification request. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not see an email in your inbox. The email will let you know if you’ve been successfully verified or if additional information is needed to complete your verification.

I’M UNABLE TO TYPE MY SCHOOL INTO THE BOX OR SELECT IT FROM THE DROP-DOWN LIST. WHAT DO I DO?

If you’re unable to type your school into the box or if your school isn’t on the drop-down list then you would not be eligible for the offer at this time. To make sure you’re not missing your school, please type out the full name. For example, rather than UO, type University of Oregon.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN’T PROVE I’M AN EDUCATOR?

This is extremely rare. Eligible academic institutions provide multiple forms of documentation that we can accept, but in the event you cannot provide proof of eligibility, we will be unable to approve you for the offer. But to repeat, if you're currently employed by an eligible school or school district, you should have access to a document we can verify.

HOW DO I KNOW YOU WON’T SELL OR SHARE MY ID AND INFORMATION?

IS THE EDUCATOR DISCOUNT AVAILABLE IN BROOKLYN BEDDING STORES AS WELL AS ONLINE?

Yes, the Educator discount is applied at checkout when shopping in our stores. You may present your credentials at the time of purchase, or work with an in-store associate to digitally verify your eligibility using ID.me.

WHAT KIND OF IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED TO VERIFY MY ELIGIBILITY IN STORES?

Acceptable forms of identification for educators include staff or faculty identification, or a recent pay stub. Please be sure to redact any details not needed for identification purposes.

If none of the required identification is available at time of purchase, our store associates can work with educators to verify eligibility using ID.me.

CAN I COMBINE THE EDUCATOR DISCOUNT WITH ANY OTHER OFFER?

The Educator discount cannot be combined with any other promotional codes and cannot be applied to gift card purchases.
